Hard Rock FM Surabaya adalah sebuah stasiun radio di kota Surabaya yang ditujukan kepada eksekutif muda yang peduli terhadap gaya hidup dan hiburan. Perancangan komunikasi Visual dalam rangka kegiatan promosi ini meliputi media lini atas, media lini bawah dan media pendukung lainnya. Sesuai dengan sifat radio sebagai salah satu bentuk hiburan yang populer di kalangan orang-orang dewasa muda, maka konsep perancangannya mengacu pada “Hard Rock FM Surabaya is the best lifestyle and entertainment in Surabaya”. Oleh karena itu, dalam perancangannya direncanakan media -media promosi yang sesuai dengan sasaran yang dituju.

An analysis of coherence in radio commercial broadcasted by radio Suzana

This study is done in order to find out the coherence in radio commercial broadcasted Radio Suzana.Such aim is broken down into two main problems of the study which are What aspects of coherence devices are used in the conversations of radio commercial broadcasted by Radio Suzana ? and what function do these radio commercials, broadcasted by Radio Suzana play to correspond to the aspect of coherence?. The discourse theories used in solving these problems are Speecn Act theory,Cooperative Principle theory,Determining Inferences to be made and also Hyme?s Ethnography of Communication according to Brown and Yule (1 985). Seven radio commercial broadcasted by Radio Suzana, each taken from different topics, are collected as the data and analyzed using those four theories above. The data were obtained through recording the radio commercial broadcasted by Radio Suzana when the participants were speaking in one month. The findings show that the aspect of coherence, Speech Act theory, mostly used directive. The next aspect of comerence, Cooperative Principle theory, which occurred in a great deal of numbers was quantity maxim, while manner maxim occurred at the least.

Radio interaktif di Surabaya

Radio interaktif merupakan tempat bertemu antara pihak on air (penyiar) dan off air (kru radio) dengan para pendengar dan kliennya, di mana dimungkinkan untuk kedua pihak saling menyalurkan kreativitas dan aspirasi dalam berbagai program interaktif yang ditawarkan radio. Konsep perancangan berangkat dari 3 segmen karakter pengguna, yaitu radio Dangdut(statis dan kekeluargaan), Teenage(dinamis), dan News(simple). Ketiga karakter tersebut dapat ditemukan dalam desain radio interaktif ini.

Stylistics features in the utterances of the “radio presenter” and the callers of the “english around the world” show by EBS radio station 101.25 FM Surabaya

This thesis is an analysis of Stylistics features in the utterances of Retha as the “Radio Jockey” and the callers in the “English around the world” show by EBS radio station. The writer chooses this topic because she would like to research the language styles by Retha and the callers in the conversation of each fragment and also she would like to know what kinds of feature occurred in the utterances since English has been an important language today and everything has been dealing to English. Moreover; this show, played by EBS required and obligated the callers to speak English if they were interested in speaking and practicing English. In analyzing the data, the writer uses the basic understanding theory of Functional Stylistics by Jan and Jiri. The writer used qualitative descriptive approach in analyzing the data and she generalized for the finding. After analyzing the data, the writer found that the language styles in each fragment are short, repetitive, substandard form, informal and code-mixing feature. The writer assumed that these features might be influenced by the limitation of time, the psychological pressure, the economical factors, and many others.

Setiap organisasi tak terkecuali radio harus berbenah diri agar mampu beradaptasi terhadap perubahan eksternal untuk dapat bertahan dalam persaingan yang makin ketat. Di samping itu radio termasuk industri jasa yang selalu dinamis, inovatif dan dituntut untuk selalu menggunakan waktu dengan baik. Perkembangan radio mampu menyaingi perkembangan media informasi lain bukan hanya segi kuantitas tapi juga segi bisnis. Kemampuan radio dalam beradaptasi memberikan kontribusi nyata bagi perkembangan langkah ke depan.

Analisa pengaruh atribut produk terhadap pembentukan brand image radio Global FM di Surabaya

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa jauh atribut produk yang terdiri dari kemasan acara yang ditawarkan, kelengkapan koleksi lagu, kualitas pemberitaan, request time, dan kualitas penyiar mempengaruhi pembentukan Brand Image radio Global FM. Alat analisa yang akan digunakan didalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan regresi berganda dan menggunakan bantuan program SPSS 11.0. Didalam penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa kelima atribut produk benar-benar berpengaruh terhadap pembentukan Brand Image radio Global FM dan telah terbukti bahwa variabel acara mempunyai prosentase terbesar dalam pembentukan Brand Image radio Global FM.

Persepsi pendengar radio Bethany FM terhadap spot kesaksian doa di Radio Bethany FM Surabaya

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui persepsi pendengar terhadap Spot Kesaksian Doa Di Radio Bethany FM Surabaya. Penelitian ini melibatkan 393 responden yang merupakan pendengar yang pernah mengirimkan SMS dukungan acara Spot Kesaksian Doa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner hasil statistik deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden menyatakan setuju dan sangat setuju pada setiap pernyataan yang mendukung Spot Kesaksian Doa. Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan bahwa persepsi pendengar adalah positif, dimana persepsi tersebut menyatakan bahwa Spot Kesaksian Doa menguatkan pendengar untuk berdoa, memberi motivasi untuk berdoa, dan memberi pelajaran kepada pendengar bahwa semua permasalahan pasti ada jawabannya. Temuan lain dalam penelitian ini adalah bahwa elemen Spot Kesaksian Doa memiliki hubungan ketergantungan dengan persepsi pendengar.

Errors on tenses produced by the radio announcer of Medika FM Radio English program

One of obstacles by English learner in language learning process is producing the right tense in which the action takes place. The differences of Indonesian language system and English language system may cause English learners commit errors. In Indonesian language, time does not influence the verb form but in English, time influences the verb form. This study concerns about errors on tenses produced by the radio announcer in Medika FM radio English program. This study limits the analysis to six tense forms namely, Simple Present Tense, Present Progressive Tense, Present Perfect Tense, Simple Past Tense, Past Progressive Tense and simple Future Tense. The theory of Ellis is used to do the errors analysis. Also, the theory of James and the theory of Ellis are used as main theory to analyze errors. The writer also uses the other theory entitled is “A Handbook of English Grammar” by R.W. Zandvoort. This theory is used as a supporting theory to do the analysis based on the theory of tenses. In the analysis, the writer finds that the announcer produced errors in each tense. The writer analyses some descriptive categories of each tense based on Linguistic Categories and the way the announcer?s erroneous version change from the presumed target version (Surface Structure Taxonomy). Errors on tenses based on Linguistic Category are divided to three categories. They are Wrong Verb Form, The Auxiliary System, and Wrong Tense Usage. Errors on tenses based on Surface Structure Taxonomy are divided to five principal ways namely Omission, Over-inclusion, Misselection, Misorder and Blends. In the finding, the writer finds that the most frequent error on tenses that the announcer produces is Simple Present Tense. As the conclusion, the writer assumes that the influence of mother tongue and the lack of knowledge about tense make the announcer make errors on tenses.

Studi deskriptif motif penggunaan media radio pada siswa SMAK St. Louis I dan SMAN 5 Surabaya

Menurut penelitian Hurlock, radio merupakan medai yang digemari remaja siswa SMA usia 14-18 tahun, karena adanya kelebihan-kelebihan yang dimiliki media radio oleh karena itu, melalui penelitian ini dapat diketahui motif penggunaan media radio para siswa SMAN 5 dan siswa SMAK St. Louis I. Motif penggunaan media radio yang dominan pada para siswa adalah motif hiburan dan motif integrasi. Selain itu, mereka juga mempunyai motif informasi dan motif identitas personal. Namun demikian, terdapat perbedaan tingkat motif di antara siswa SMAN 5 dan siswa SMAK St. Louis I, dimana hal tersebut dipengaruhi oeleh sosiodemografi dan lingkungan masing-masing individu.
